Why bamboo sells

Bamboo viscose fibers are rounder and smoother than cotton, which is why the fabric feels almost silk-like on skin. The fiber's micro-gaps make it more breathable and moisture-wicking than cotton, and it keeps feet noticeably cooler in summer and warmer in winter.

For sensitive skin and diabetic-friendly lines, bamboo is our first recommendation: it's naturally hypoallergenic and less irritating at the seams. We blend it with polyamide and elastane for durability, since pure bamboo — like pure cotton — would lose shape quickly.

Common questions

Is "bamboo" the same as viscose?

Commercial bamboo socks use bamboo viscose (rayon from bamboo pulp). EU/US labeling rules require "viscose from bamboo" on composition labels — we prepare compliant labels for your market so you avoid customs and marketplace issues.

How should the composition read?

Our standard premium blend is ~78% bamboo viscose, 20% polyamide, 2% elastane. Higher bamboo percentages are possible; below 70% the silky hand-feel fades.

Does bamboo cost much more than cotton?

Roughly 20-25% more at the yarn level — but bamboo lines typically retail 40-60% higher than cotton equivalents, which is why the category over-indexes on margin.
